Sun Valley Resort, Sun Valley

I recently stayed at the Sun Valley Lodge, which has a charming historical appeal but might not live up to the expectations given the price. The rooms are quite small and dated, although the renovated showers were a definite plus. I appreciated the free parking available, but the computer outage during check-in was frustrating. Overall, the atmosphere was nice, and I can see it being more enjoyable in the winter months with skiing activities.

I had a wonderful time during my stay at the hotel, with stunning landscapes and a fantastic array of on-site dining options. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, making my stay comfortable. However, I found some aspects of the service lacking, particularly with staff responsiveness. The trails near the hotel could also use better signage for easier navigation.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On one hand, the amenities and the historical charm were truly nice, making it feel special. On the other hand, a negative encounter with staff significantly impacted my impression of their hospitality. While dining options were commendable, my initial experience upon arrival was off-putting, which would make me hesitant to recommend without some changes.

We had a lovely family getaway at the lodge, with plenty to keep the kids entertained, including a heated outdoor pool and bowling alley. The rooms were spacious and stylish, contributing to a comfortable experience. However, our stay wasn't without hiccups, as we had a rough start with some lost items and room changes, which initially dampened our spirits. Overall, it was a memorable trip, and I'm excited to come back.

The Sun Valley Lodge is a luxurious retreat that boasts stunning views and a beautiful atmosphere. The King Suites are particularly impressive, featuring elegant decor with unique touches like a see-through fireplace. While my experience at the Inn was delightful with a great focus on family-friendly activities, the service at the lodge could use improvement as it felt somewhat lacking in charm. Nonetheless, the overall experience was enjoyable, filled with wonderful amenities and outdoor activities.
